Thunderbolt-Docking station Here, it is worth investing in a good docking station with its own power supply. My personal tip is this one:
(*)
Computer here basically work different systems: Windows / Mac / Linux.I have tried Windows and Mac and decided for the Mac world. But it's a matter of taste.
Software
DAW: after various tests (Reaper, Ableton, Logic pro) I have decided for Logic pro. But it's also a matter of taste.
Virtual instrument: after various tests I have decided for toontrack software. EZ Drummer 2 is a good choice there.
(*)
With this setup you can already record drums professionally, best via MIDI in Logic pro, then select the virtual instrument EZ Drummer 2 in the Logic pro track.
Studio-Setup
With this setup, you have a full-blown studio setup. This setup leaves nothing to be desired. Perfect practicing and professional recording and editing of recordings is possible.
